Reflections from the Global Security Exchange 2025

Last month Riz (CEO) and Jordan (Account Manager) — joined our partners from Flic at the Global Security Exchange 2025.

Last month, the Locate Global team – Riz (CEO) and Jordan (Account Manager) — joined our partners Anastasiia Hulenko and Dirk Lüders from Flic at GSX, diving headfirst into the world of innovation shaping global security.

If you’ve never been, GSX is a bit of a sensory overload — in the best possible way.

Spanning nearly a mile and bringing together close to 20,000 security professionals, it’s where the brightest minds and most forward-thinking technologies converge. From connected devices and AI-driven surveillance to predictive risk management and employee wellbeing tools, the show was a clear reminder of just how rapidly our industry is evolving.

We came away inspired, energised, and maybe just a little hoarse from all the conversations.

Here are a few of our key takeaways:
• Lone worker protection is evolving. The focus is shifting beyond compliance — it’s about employee wellbeing, trust, and proactive care. The conversation is no longer “How do we keep people safe?” but “How do we help them feel safe and supported?”
• AI is transforming security operations. Intelligent surveillance, drone technology, and predictive analytics are already redefining how organisations detect, respond to, and prevent incidents. The challenge now is ensuring these tools serve people — not just systems.
• Hydration is underrated. You can never have too many water bottles when you’re demoing back-to-back!

One of our highlights this year was collaborating with the team at Flic, whose Bluetooth button integrates seamlessly with the Locate platform — allowing employees to discreetly raise an alert with a single press. Together, we’re redefining what it means to protect people, wherever they are in the world – helping organisations simplify how they manage safety, communication, and response in critical moments.

We were blown away by the conversations we had at the stand — from security leaders looking to strengthen their duty of care programmes to organisations exploring tech-driven approaches to workforce safety and resilience. A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared insights, and contributed to such meaningful discussions.

Events like GSX remind us why we do what we do. Technology is at its most powerful when it serves people — when it empowers teams, builds confidence, and helps every individual feel seen, supported, and safe.

As we look ahead, we’re excited to continue the conversations that started in New Orleans and to keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in risk management, employee safety, and security innovation.
Until next time — thank you to everyone who made GSX 2025 one to remember.
